purchase. Most important, of course, is safety. At Strollers.com we offer a wide selection of single

The general rule: the bigger the wheel the better the
jogging stroller will be for heavy running and strolling over rough terrain. Smaller wheels are better for walking on smooth surfaces.
Note: Wheel size is not related to
stroller stability.
12" Wheels, - Offer superior maneuverability and take up less room when stored.
Strollers with this size wheel are generally used for walking or light jogging.
16" Wheels - Frequent jogging/fast walking with little off-road use. These
strollers tend to have a great glide and usability. Great on dirt paths.
20" Wheels - Frequent running and off-road use. Offer superior glide, less resistance and easier curb and bump handling.
We carry jogging strollers with both
fixed and
swivel wheel options.
Swivel Wheel Jogging Strollers are easier to turn, and ideal for indoor use. All
Swivel Wheel Jogging Strollers must have a lock-in front wheel option in order to be considered a jogging stroller. Though
Swivel Wheel Jogging Strollers have a locking option, there is some wiggle when the wheel is set in the locked position. If you intend to use your
jogging stroller for intense running, you may consider a
Fixed Wheel Jogging Stroller.
In 2000, jogging
stroller manufacturers began featuring
reclining seats with their
jogging strollers; since then they’ve become a sought after feature. Keep in mind, just because a seat "reclines" does not mean it goes completely flat. A few
strollers offer a fully flat position for a newborn, but many only go back to a position that allows for easy resting. Until your child is able to support his head and neck independently, we recommend using a head support.
Anxious to get out there with your newborn? We offer a nice selection of
infant jogging strollers. It is important to know that babies 6-10 weeks old should be kept bundled up in warm, comfortable gear such as
foot muffs, or
warmers. Also, you need to select a
jogging stroller that will fully recline. It is not recommended to jog/run with an
infant when they are still in their very early stages of development.
