Go Gaga:

Like many companies, Go GaGa started as a sketch on the back of a cocktail napkin. Jill Cartwright was having brunch with several of her friends who had recently given birth or adopted. They were all lamenting the fact that one day they were wearing Prada and the next minute they were in a sweatsuit carrying a Winnie the Pooh denim diaper bag and couldn't find their sense of self anymore. The dads at the table couldn't find a diaper bag that didn't look like an explosion of pink lace or Disney characters.
What really bothered Jill was that several of them had gotten hurt while caring for their little ones - dislocated shoulders, torn ACLs, carpal tunnel syndrome - all from products that were designed with little regard for the parent's physical safety. While the lunch conversation turned to terrifying dirty diaper stories, Jill began sketching out products that were ergonomically safe but also fashionable. As she talked with more people, Jill realized that it wasn't just parents who suffered from products that weren't ergonomically safe - it was an issue for travelers, businesspeople, students and even dog walkers.
Three years later in May 2007, Jill completed her MBA at Babson College, finalized her initial funding and launched Go GaGa. The company introduced its initial line of diaper bags in September 2007 and will continue to expand its collection of diaper bags and totes before moving into home products and accessories.
