Max Barenbrug, a design student from The Netherlands, wanted to design a functional stroller for use in the city as well as for leisure activities with a focus on parents, appealing to both mothers and fathers. When he went to sell his new idea, most manufacturers considered his design unviable, and too revolutionary. Nevertheless, Barenburg decided to manufacture his design by himself, and in 1999, the Bugaboo Stroller made its debut on the streets of Holland.

A new Bugaboo product brings something new to the market though innovation that makes a difference. Bugaboo has created three distinctive models, the Gecko and the Cameleon, and the Bee. All three strollers have the same innovative functions, yet they are tailored in different colored fabrics so you can make each Bugaboo distinctively your own.
